Karachi (Showbiz Desk) Actor Sohail Sameer has issued a detailed apology over the objectionable scenes in his short film Doosri Aurat, explaining that the scenes are approximately 10 years old and that some clips have recently resurfaced on social media.
Sohail Sameer said the clip was part of a project made nearly a decade ago. According to him, it was a short film, and at the time he did not realize that something done in the past could resurface in this manner in the future.
The actor admitted that he should not have participated in such content. He said the incident made him reflect on how he would feel if similar material involving someone from his own family were to emerge.
Sohail Sameer acknowledged his mistake, apologized to the public, and requested that he not be judged solely on the basis of a mistake from his past, but rather be seen as someone who is trying to learn from his mistakes.
It may be recalled that a few days ago, an old clip from Sohail Sameer’s suspenseful and thrilling short film Doosri Aurat went viral on social media.
In the clip, the actor is shown in an extremely close and romantic manner with a female character, prompting objections from social media users.
Several users questioned how Sohail Sameer discusses morality and social values on television programs while his past project contains a scene of this nature. Some users also called for such content to be banned.
