South Africa (Sports Desk): Renowned boxer and former world champion Zolani Tete was shot dead, while four people have been arrested on suspicion of involvement in the incident.
According to media reports, police said that Zolani Tete was shot outside his home on Friday. A woman who was with him was also injured in the shooting.
Police have detained four people on suspicion of murder as part of the investigation into the incident.
Zolani Tete was the International Boxing Federation junior bantamweight champion from 2014 to 2015, while he also held the World Boxing Organization bantamweight world title from 2017 to 2019.
