Texas (Web Desk) — SpaceX’s Starship rocket in the US state of Texas achieved the important milestone of reaching Earth’s orbit for the first time; however, due to an engine malfunction, the 10-hour mission had to be ended after just three hours.
During Starship’s 14th flight, 26 Starlink satellites were successfully deployed into space after the spacecraft reached orbit. The flight was also described as Starship’s first commercial mission.
During the flight, one of the rocket’s three main engines shut down prematurely, raising concerns about the success of the mission. However, engineers successfully guided Starship into orbit with the help of the other engines.
SpaceX plans to begin regular use of Starship by the end of this year.
