Karachi (Commerce Desk) — Negative sentiment prevailed at the Pakistan Stock Exchange at the start of the business week, with trading ending on a lower note.
At the close of the trading day, the 100 Index fell by 339 points to close at 170,425 points.
During the trading session, the index recorded a high of 171,126 points and a low of 170,120 points.
Overall, shares of 569 companies were traded in the stock market. Share prices of 181 companies increased, while the prices of 267 companies declined.
A total of 420 million shares worth Rs17 billion were traded in the stock market.
