Times Will Change, Says Kamran Murtaza

Islamabad (Pakistan News): Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Senator Kamran Murtaza has said that times will change, adding that those who hold power today cannot be certain they will retain it tomorrow.

Speaking to Geo News, Kamran Murtaza said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) time had passed, noting that the party had also chanted “Diesel, Diesel” slogans against Maulana Fazlur Rehman in the past.

He said there was a time when the PTI needed Maulana Fazlur Rehman. He questioned what political significance his party would have retained if it had adopted one position in parliament while expressing the opposite view outside it.

The JUI-F senator further said that if he had taken one position while secretly participating in a matter behind the scenes, his credibility and political weight would have been undermined. He said the public should decide for itself who was telling the truth and who was lying.

Commenting on political differences, Kamran Murtaza said disagreements were natural, but they should not be turned into personal attacks. He added that attacking political opponents personally and spreading inappropriate remarks about them reflected pettiness rather than political maturity.
