New York (Showbiz Desk): Tom Holland has revealed that he found out about landing the iconic role of Spider-Man in an unexpected way—through social media.
Speaking in a podcast interview, he shared that he had been anxiously waiting for weeks to hear back about the role but received no direct confirmation. During that time, Marvel Studios shared a post inviting fans to visit a website to discover the name of the new Spider-Man.
According to Tom Holland, when he visited the site, he was surprised to see that he had been selected for the role.
He added that by then, he had assumed he hadn’t been chosen, as there had been no communication from the studio. However, the unexpected announcement came as a pleasant surprise for him.
