Washington (Monitoring Desk) — US President Donald Trump has announced that the United States will not attack Iran before the midterm elections scheduled for November 3.
In a statement posted on his social media platform, Truth Social, Donald Trump said that useful and productive negotiations with Iran were ongoing, while Iran was in an extremely poor condition economically and militarily.
The US president said the blockade imposed on Iran would remain fully in place. He claimed that 22 million barrels of oil passed through the Strait of Hormuz last night; however, not a single barrel of that oil came from Iran or was destined for Iran.
Trump further stated that Iran would not be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons under any circumstances.
