Washington (Monitoring Desk) US President Donald Trump has said that he has sent a clear message to Iran that it is time for both countries to reach some form of agreement.
In his latest statement, President Trump said that Iran can no longer be allowed to continue the approach it has followed over the past 47 years. According to him, a diplomatic solution and an agreement is the best way forward under the current circumstances.
Donald Trump also rejected reports suggesting a breakdown in talks between the United States and Iran. He said that contrary to some reports, communication and dialogue between the two countries are continuing and the negotiation process has not stopped.
According to the US president, discussions on various issues between Iran and the United States are ongoing, but it would be premature to say what the final outcome of these talks will be.
He further said that no one can say with certainty in which direction the negotiations will go or what kind of agreement may emerge at the end, but contacts between both sides remain intact.
Trump’s statement comes at a time when speculation has increased in recent weeks regarding a possible US-Iran agreement, Iran’s nuclear programme, regional tensions, and economic sanctions.
Global observers are also closely monitoring the diplomatic contacts between the two countries, as any potential breakthrough could have significant implications for the Middle East and global politics.
