Lahore (Sports Desk) — Foreign consultants are likely to join the coaching staff of the Pakistan cricket team.
According to media sources, the Pakistan Cricket Board is in talks with former Australian fast bowler Shaun Tait and is considering appointing him as a bowling consultant.
Sources say former New Zealand cricketer Martin Guptill has also been contacted, and discussions are progressing regarding his appointment as a fielding consultant.
An agreement with Martin Guptill is also reportedly likely to be reached.
Shaun Tait served as Pakistan team bowling coach in 2022-23, while he was recently associated with the Bangladesh team. However, he had declined coaching responsibilities across all three formats due to family commitments.
It may be recalled that following Ashley Noffke’s resignation, the PCB had advertised the position of bowling coach, while applications were also invited for the position of fielding coach.
