Lahore (Sports Desk): United Arab Emirates cricketer Asif Khan has been banned for 15 months by the International Cricket Council for using a prohibited substance. According to the ICC, Asif Khan underwent a doping test on September 8, 2025, which detected a prohibited substance. The 36-year-old cricketer admitted violating the anti-doping regulations and accepted the sanction.
The ban will apply from September 8, 2025, until December 7, 2026. In addition, his individual results from September 8 to December 29, 2025, have been disqualified, resulting in the withdrawal of medals, points, prize money and other awards earned during that period.
Asif Khan made his international cricket debut for the UAE in 2022. He has represented the country in 38 One-Day Internationals and 56 Twenty20 internationals.
