US Claims More Strikes on Iranian Military Sites

Washington (Monitoring Desk) — The US military has claimed that, on the instructions of President Donald Trump, further attacks were carried out against various military targets in Iran, including several important defence installations.

According to the US Central Command, the operations targeted Iran’s command and control centres, air defence systems, facilities linked to missile and drone programmes, coastal surveillance centres, and other military targets.

US officials said that several locations in Iran’s southern city of Bandar Abbas were also targeted during the strikes. Bandar Abbas is one of Iran’s most important ports and holds major naval and strategic significance due to its location near the Strait of Hormuz.

The US military said the purpose of these operations was to limit Iran’s military capabilities and weaken its military activities around the Strait of Hormuz.

Meanwhile, Iranian authorities have not issued an immediate response to the US claims, and there has been no independent confirmation of the damage or casualties resulting from the attacks.

Defence experts say that due to the strategic importance of Bandar Abbas and the Strait of Hormuz, any military action in the area could have significant impacts on global trade, oil supplies, and peace and stability in the Middle East.

International observers said that rising tensions between the United States and Iran are making the regional situation more complicated, while the global community is urging both countries to exercise restraint and resolve disputes through diplomatic channels.
