Washington (Monitoring Desk) — The US Commission on International Religious Freedom has called for strict action against the RSS, a Hindu organization accused of involvement in alleged attacks against minorities, particularly Muslims, in India.
According to Commission Chairman Dr Asif Mahmood, extremist groups backed by the Indian government have targeted minorities.
The Commission urged sanctions against the RSS over alleged violations of religious freedom, while international human rights organizations have also continued to highlight alleged state abuses against Muslims in India.
