Lahore (Sports Desk): Pakistani spinner Usman Tariq posted a cryptic and sarcastic message on social media after failing to secure a place in the national team squad.
After the Pakistan Cricket Board announced the squads for the three-match T20 series against Sri Lanka and the ODI tri-series featuring England and Sri Lanka, Usman Tariq shared a message on Instagram.
He wrote that the most difficult test of wisdom is to remain silent when the ego is forcing a person to speak.
The 29-year-old Usman Tariq represented Pakistan in the 2026 T20 World Cup, taking 10 wickets in six matches, making him the national team’s most successful bowler in the tournament.
However, he was not included in the national squad for the T20 series against Sri Lanka or the upcoming ODI tri-series. Meanwhile, Sahibzada Farhan has been appointed the new T20 captain in place of Salman Ali Agha.
The first T20 match between Pakistan and Sri Lanka will be played in Rawalpindi on October 9.
