Moscow (Web Desk): Russian technology company VK has confirmed that its VK and Max applications have been removed from the Google Play Store. However, users who already have the apps installed on their Android devices will continue to use them without interruption.
According to the company's statement, Android users will continue to receive messages, calls, and other notifications through the VK and Max apps, and the existing functionality of the applications will remain unaffected.
The statement added that Android users can download the VK and Max apps from alternative app stores, including RuStore, Huawei AppGallery, Samsung Galaxy Store, and Xiaomi GetApps.
The company also noted that Apple had previously removed VK Holding’s apps and the Max Messenger from its App Store. According to VK, Apple made the decision unilaterally and without prior notice, after which iPhone users stopped receiving notifications for new messages and calls through the messenger.
