Lahore (Pakistan News) — Jamaat-e-Islami Emir Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has said that they are waiting to see when the Prime Minister of Pakistan comes on a visit.
Speaking at a press conference in Lahore, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said the government should reduce its own expenditures instead of putting the burden on the people, adding that the government puts every burden on the public.
He said members of the National Assembly are politically rewarded, asking, “If this is not political bribery, then what is it?” Maryam Nawaz bought a plane worth Rs11 billion.
Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said the government had unsuccessfully attempted to stop their rally the previous day, adding that Jamaat-e-Islami workers foiled the government’s efforts with full enthusiasm and spirit.
He said all their demands are simple and clear, adding that it is regrettable that the country’s political parties have failed to raise public issues effectively. The policy rate should be reduced.
