New York (Web Desk): Popular messaging application WhatsApp is preparing to introduce a new feature that will allow users to create and send audio stickers alongside photos and videos.
According to reports, the new feature has been spotted in a test version of WhatsApp. With this functionality, users will be able to create audio stickers by recording their own voices or using audio files saved on their mobile phones.
Under the new feature, an audio sticker will be able to contain a maximum of 10 seconds of sound. When an audio sticker is sent or received on WhatsApp, a sound icon will appear alongside it, allowing users to listen to the audio by clicking on the icon.
In addition, users will be able to include sound when creating animated stickers from videos. The app will automatically be able to attach a five-second audio segment from the video to the sticker.
Users will also have the option to use their own recorded voices or another audio file saved on their mobile phones instead of the video's original sound.
The purpose of this new feature is to make conversations on WhatsApp more engaging and provide users with a new way to express their emotions, reactions, and messages through audio. However, until a final announcement is made regarding the feature's availability to all users, its release timeline remains uncertain.
