WhatsApp Introduces New Feature to Share Documents Directly with AI

California (Web Desk) WhatsApp is preparing to introduce a new and useful feature that will allow users to share documents directly with artificial intelligence for analysis and assistance.

According to reports, the platform is adding document-sharing capabilities to Meta AI. Through this feature, users will be able to send files directly to the AI-powered assistant, enabling it to analyze the content and provide relevant insights.

The feature has currently been introduced in a beta version and is expected to be particularly useful for people who work with documents on a daily basis.

Previously, users had to manually copy and paste text from documents into AI tools or share screenshots of pages, a process that required additional time and effort.

With the new feature, users will be able to share attached files from chats directly with the AI assistant. The AI will then generate summaries, highlight key points, and answer user questions based on the contents of the document.

The report also states that users will be able to share documents from other applications with the AI assistant, meaning the functionality will not be limited to WhatsApp alone.

Until now, the AI system primarily supported the sharing of images and videos, while formats such as PDF documents and spreadsheets had limited or no support.

Technology experts believe that this enhancement will make WhatsApp’s AI assistant more effective for document-based tasks and improve its ability to compete with other leading AI platforms.

It is worth noting that ChatGPT introduced document-upload functionality in 2023, while Google Gemini made a similar feature available to its users in 2024.
