Lahore (Web Desk) Instant messaging application WhatsApp is developing a new feature for iPhone users through which users will be able to view their online and recently active contacts in one place.
According to a report by WhatsApp Beta Info, this feature will be introduced in the form of a new “Contacts Hub,” in which users will see contacts displayed in different categories.
The report states that in the current system, a user has to open each chat separately to see someone’s online status; however, after the introduction of the new feature, this information will be available in one place.
According to the new design, favorite contacts will be shown at the top, followed by people who are currently online, and then a list of users who were recently active.
According to the report, this new section will be included in WhatsApp settings; however, existing privacy rules will remain unchanged, meaning only those users will be able to see others’ status who have also enabled their own privacy permissions.
