CALIFORNIA (Web Desk): American startup JetZero is developing an advanced passenger aircraft with a unique design that differs significantly from conventional aeroplanes. Named the Z4, the aircraft will have a capacity of 250 passengers and a range of up to 5,000 miles on a single flight.
The California-based company plans to conduct the aircraft’s first test flight in 2027. With this innovative design, JetZero aims to establish itself as a competitor to major aircraft manufacturers such as Boeing.
The Z4’s most distinctive feature is its “blended-wing-body” design, which integrates the main body and wings into a single, streamlined structure rather than keeping them separate. Its overall shape resembles a stingray found in the ocean.
Unlike conventional passenger aircraft such as the Boeing 767, the company has opted for a wider and relatively shorter structure. The interior is being designed with separate sections and more spacious seating to provide passengers with a distinctive travel experience.
Another remarkable feature of the advanced aircraft is that it will not have conventional windows.
The Z4 is being viewed within the aviation industry as a significant step towards developing a new generation of passenger aircraft. However, its actual performance, flight capabilities and practical viability can only be properly assessed once the testing phases have been completed.
