Kyiv (Monitoring Desk) — Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has claimed that recent intelligence has revealed preparations by Russia for a major attack on Ukraine.
He said Ukraine’s security agencies and air force are ready to respond to a possible attack, but the response will be carried out according to the country’s defensive capabilities.
According to Zelensky, in view of the threat of a Russian attack, Ukraine needs additional defensive weapons from the United States, Europe and other allied countries.
He called on world leaders to demonstrate a strong political commitment to supporting Ukraine, saying that political cooperation, along with the necessary defensive resources, is also extremely important for confronting Russia.
