Moscow (Monitoring Desk) Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said he is ready to accept a peace agreement to end the war that would maintain the current territorial situation.
In an interview with US television channel Fox News, Volodymyr Zelensky was asked whether he would agree to a peace deal that preserved the current territorial situation and left Ukraine with 75 per cent or more of its territory.
In response, the Ukrainian president said yes, adding that the current situation would have to be frozen at this point. In his view, this is a realistic way to end the war.
It is worth noting that diplomatic efforts to end the war between Russia and Ukraine are ongoing. However, territorial disputes between the two countries remain a major obstacle to reaching a peace agreement.
