Ziarat Martyrs Issue: Balochistan Government Reaches Agreement with Protest Committee

QUETTA (Pakistan News) — The reconciliation efforts of Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti have succeeded, as an agreement has been reached between the Balochistan government, the families of the Ziarat martyrs, and the protest committee after negotiations.

According to protest committee member Nasrullah Zairay, all parties agreed on the draft of the negotiations, following which the government, the families of the victims, and the protest committee signed the agreement.

Under the agreement, it was decided to establish a judicial commission to investigate the Ziarat incident. A joint meeting regarding the law and order situation will also be held under the chairmanship of the Balochistan Chief Minister, with participation from opposition parties and the families of the martyrs.

According to the agreement, the Ziarat martyrs will be officially recognized as martyrs under government policy, and their families will be provided financial assistance, support, and educational facilities for their children. Government buildings will also be named after the martyrs.

It was decided to establish a committee headed by the Revenue Minister to address public concerns related to revenue matters.

Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti said that caring for the families of martyrs is the responsibility of the government, while the sacrifices of the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps (FC), and Police will always be remembered.
