Lahore (Sports Desk) President of the Pakistan Tennis Federation, Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi, has said that he is utilizing all his abilities both as a former player and now as president to promote Pakistan tennis on the global stage.
Speaking at a dinner hosted in a local hotel in honor of participants of the ITF Men’s World Tour, he said that the organization of an international tennis tour in Pakistan is a positive development that will help promote sports activities in the country.
He added that the arrival of players from different countries in Pakistan is a welcome and encouraging step.
Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi further said that Pakistani junior and senior players are delivering excellent performances and are also proving their talent in international competitions. He praised the form of players such as Aisam, Muzammil, and others.
On the occasion, national tennis player Muhammad Shoaib said he was grateful to Allah that Pakistan won an ITF Futures tournament after 20 years. He added that under the guidance of legends like Aisam-ul-Haq and with the support of the Pakistan Tennis Federation, players are getting opportunities to showcase their talent.
Aisam-ul-Haq reiterated his resolve that he will continue all possible efforts for the promotion and development of tennis in Pakistan.
