Pakistan Women’s Team Historic Victory, Defeats Zimbabwe by 206 Runs to Win Series

Karachi (Sports Desk) The Pakistan Women’s National Cricket Team delivered a brilliant performance, defeating Zimbabwe Women’s Cricket Team by 206 runs in the second One Day International to clinch the three-match series.

The match was played at the National Bank Stadium Karachi, where Pakistan posted a commanding total of 343 for 4 after batting first, setting Zimbabwe a massive target of 344 runs.

Openers Gul Feroza and Sadaf Shamas played outstanding innings, both scoring centuries. Gul Feroza made 100 runs off 95 balls with 13 boundaries, while Sadaf Shamas scored 101 off 112 balls, including 10 fours and one six.

Aliya Riaz contributed a quick 27 runs, while captain Fatima Sana added a responsible 25 runs. Sidra Amin remained unbeaten on 59, while Ayesha Zafar stayed not out on 18.

In reply, Zimbabwe’s team struggled against disciplined Pakistani bowling and was bowled out for just 137 runs in the 39th over. Captain Fatima Sana also shone with the ball, taking three wickets.

Earlier, Pakistan had won the first ODI by 168 runs, taking an unassailable 2–0 lead and securing the series. The three-match series is part of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup Super League.

The third and final ODI will be played on Saturday.
