Lahore (Sports Desk) India has refused to play any bilateral sports series with Pakistan.
According to Indian media reports, the government is no longer in favor of participating in direct sporting events against Pakistan.
India’s Ministry of Sports has issued formal instructions to various sports federations, the Olympic Association, and other sports bodies in this regard.
According to the directives, India will neither host any bilateral series with Pakistan on its soil nor send its teams to Pakistan. Similarly, Pakistani teams will also not be allowed to compete in India.
However, the Ministry of Sports clarified that participation in multilateral or international events will be decided in accordance with international sports regulations and the interest of athletes.
The statement added that Indian athletes may participate in events where Pakistani teams are also present, while if India hosts any international event, Pakistani teams will be allowed to participate as per the rules.
