BRICS Meeting Ends in Disagreement, No Joint Statement Issued

New Delhi (Monitoring Desk): The meeting of foreign ministers of the BRICS group ended without any final outcome due to differences between Iran and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and a joint statement could not be issued.

According to international news agencies, the meeting held in New Delhi concluded with India, the host country, issuing a presidential statement instead of a joint declaration, highlighting differences among member states.

Reports said that Iran demanded the BRICS group condemn the actions of the United States and Israel. It also accused the UAE of being involved in military actions against it.

On the other hand, the UAE rejected these allegations, stating that it will not compromise on its sovereignty, security, and independent decision-making, and reserves the right to respond firmly to any threat or aggression.

The meeting also discussed regional security, freedom of maritime routes, and protection of civilians and infrastructure, but due to differences, no unified position could be reached.
