Hajj arrangements review meeting, all possible facilities to be provided to pilgrims: Minister for Religious Affairs

Islamabad ((Pakistan News) — A review meeting on Hajj arrangements was held under the chairmanship of Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, in which detailed briefings were given on facilities for pilgrims, medical assistance, accommodation, and various administrative matters.

The meeting was attended by Secretary Religious Affairs Abrar Ahmed Mirza, Additional Secretary Dr. Sajid Mehmood Chauhan, Joint Secretary Hajj Muhammad Bakhsh Sangi, along with other senior officials, while the Hajj management team also participated via video link from Makkah.

The Federal Minister directed that full care must be taken of the comfort and facilities of pilgrims, and that Hajj staff should remain alert for the immediate resolution of complaints. He also emphasized that pilgrims must strictly follow Saudi laws during their stay and maintain Pakistan’s dignity.

According to the briefing, by April 28, more than 20,000 government pilgrims had reached Madinah, while all pilgrims have been issued Nusuk cards. So far, over 11,000 pilgrims have performed the visit to Riyaz-ul-Jannah.

The Pakistan Hajj Medical Mission reported that one hospital and three dispensaries are operational in Madinah, while five dispensaries have been established in Makkah, and the supply of medicines from Pakistan has been completed.

The Hajj Director Makkah said that five bus stations have been allocated for Haram transport to ensure better movement of pilgrims. The meeting expressed satisfaction over the overall arrangements and directed that every possible facility be provided to the pilgrims.
