Tehran (Monitoring Desk) Commander of the Iranian Navy Shahram Irani has warned that if US forces make any advance, Iran will respond immediately and strongly.
According to Iranian state broadcaster IRIB, Commander Shahram Irani said that Iran has blocked the Strait of Hormuz from the direction of the Arabian Sea, and any attempt by US forces to move forward will be met with a strong response.
He further stated that the enemy had assumed the outcome of a conflict against Iran could be achieved within a few days to a week, but that assessment has now become a subject of ridicule within military circles.
He added that Iran remains united to avenge its martyrs “until the last drop.”
Earlier, Iranian Press TV reported, citing a military official, that if US actions against Iranian ports continue, they will face an extraordinary response.
The official said Iranian armed forces have so far shown restraint in order to allow diplomacy a chance, and expect the United States to accept Iran’s conditions to bring an end to tensions.
