Islamabad (Pakistan News): Despite the absence of immediate prospects for direct talks between Iran and the United States, diplomatic contacts and behind-the-scenes efforts between the two countries are continuing.
According to sources, ongoing diplomatic efforts indicate a serious push toward reducing regional tensions and potentially moving toward de-escalation or ending conflict.
Reports say Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi returned to Islamabad after extended diplomatic engagements in Oman. He had traveled to Muscat via a Pakistani aircraft from Islamabad.
Sources further stated that the Iranian foreign minister carried written messages regarding Iran’s position on its nuclear program limits and the Strait of Hormuz issue.
Officials clarified that these communications are not formal negotiations but part of ongoing diplomatic exchanges to convey positions between parties.
Later, Abbas Araghchi departed for Moscow, where he is expected to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin and other senior officials.
Diplomatic sources say that several regional countries, including Qatar and Saudi Arabia, are also actively engaged in these efforts, indicating an expanding network of contacts aimed at reducing tensions at the regional level.
