Mumbai (Showbiz Desk): A significant development has emerged in the online harassment case involving the 13-year-old daughter of Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, as police have arrested one suspect in the matter.
According to Indian media reports, the incident surfaced in October last year when Akshay Kumar revealed at an event that his daughter was subjected to inappropriate content during an online gaming session. Realizing the situation, the child immediately closed the game and informed her mother.
The actor had stated at the time that such incidents could push children towards blackmailing and other serious crimes, emphasizing the importance of protecting children in the digital world.
Following the complaint, the cybercrime unit launched an investigation and, with the help of modern technology, identified and arrested the suspect. Officials said further interrogation is underway to determine whether the accused had targeted other children as well.
Media reports also suggest that the incident has led to increased awareness initiatives, with Akshay Kumar’s stance being used in educational institutions as part of cyber safety awareness campaigns to protect children from online threats.
