Karachi (Showbiz Desk) Actress Dananeer Mobeen has termed comparisons of her upcoming film “Mera Lyari” with any other film as unfair.
The film has been selected for the UK Asian Film Festival 2026, where its premiere was held on May 2, while it is scheduled to be released in cinemas across the country on May 8, 2026.
The film portrays the real-life aspects of Lyari and particularly highlights the young talent of the area.
During the film’s promotion in the United Kingdom, responding to comparisons with an Indian film, Dananeer Mobeen said that it is not appropriate to relate any film with another. According to her, “Mera Lyari” has a unique theme and concept, highlighting important aspects such as sports, the participation of South Asian women in sports, and the women’s football culture in Lyari.
