London (Sports Desk) Former Australian cricket captain Michael Clarke has urged people to make timely medical check-ups a routine as Skin Cancer Awareness Month begins, in order to ensure early detection of the disease.
In a message shared on social media platform X, he said there is no better time than now to get skin cancer checks done.
Clarke added that he recently underwent treatment for another skin cancer on his face, calling it an unpleasant experience, and stressed that regular screening is essential so the disease is not diagnosed too late.
It is worth noting that Michael Clarke has been dealing with skin cancer for several years and continues to undergo regular treatment and medical monitoring.
