Lahore (Pakistan Desk) The Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) raised multiple questions in a special briefing regarding the Pahalgam false flag incident, stating that India has failed to provide answers even after one year.
In the briefing held on April 30, 2025, the military spokesperson highlighted the background of the Pahalgam incident and said that Pakistan will discuss facts, not mere allegations.
He stated that if it is claimed that so-called militants from Pakistani territory carried out the incident, it should also be noted that Pahalgam is located more than 200 kilometers away from any Pakistani area.
He further added that the terrain is not plain and travel in the region is not easy, and roads are not available that remain open in all weather conditions. According to the FIR, police arriving at the scene within 10 minutes and registering a report shortly after raises several questions and creates suspicion of pre-planning.
The spokesperson said that Indian intelligence had no prior information about the incident, yet within 10 minutes it was claimed that the attackers had come from across the border.
He noted that a specific narrative was being built suggesting the incident had religious motives and that only Muslims were spared while Hindus were targeted, whereas terrorism has no religion and such claims are not accurate.
He further stated that questions were raised not only in Pakistan but also within India regarding the incident. Immediately after the event, certain media outlets rapidly circulated the news and within minutes attempted to blame Pakistan.
The spokesperson said that Pakistan was accused without any concrete evidence and multiple narratives were constructed. He added that the presented facts indicate the incident was the result of serious lapses by Indian institutions.
