St. Petersburg (Monitoring Desk): Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has said that some progress has been made in the ongoing negotiation process between Iran and the United States, although a complete agreement has not yet been reached.
Speaking to the media, he stated that Pakistan has played an important mediating role between the two countries, helping advance diplomatic contacts and dialogue.
According to Abbas Araghchi, the main reason for past failures in negotiations was the United States’ strict policies and additional demands, which made it impossible to reach a final outcome.
He said that recent meetings included a detailed review of past issues, while discussions are also ongoing regarding future negotiation procedures and possible conditions.
The Iranian foreign minister further said that he will meet Russian President Vladimir Putin, during which regional developments and ongoing tensions will be discussed.
Experts believe that increasing diplomatic activity between Iran, Russia, and Pakistan is part of efforts aimed at reducing regional tensions and exploring possible political solutions.
