Karachi (Sports Desk) Australian batter Steve Smith has described his experience of playing in the Pakistan Super League for Multan Sultans as excellent, saying he is thoroughly enjoying his time in the tournament.
Speaking at a press conference after the match against Rawalpindi, Steve Smith said that the past month with Multan Sultans has been very good and the team has played outstanding cricket.
He said that his opening position suits his style of play as it provides more opportunities in the early overs.
Steve Smith termed the Pakistan Super League a strong and highly talented league, saying that every team features high-quality players and the competition is extremely tough.
He also spoke about the young players in Multan Sultans, saying that he is also learning a lot from them and is always ready to help if any player needs advice.
He said that the team’s goal is to perform well in the remaining matches and secure a place in the top two positions. He also appreciated the hospitality and team environment in Pakistan, adding that he does miss the presence of spectators.
