Beijing (Monitoring Desk) Tremors of a 5.8 magnitude earthquake were felt near the coastal area of Chile.
According to international media reports, the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences) stated that the earthquake was recorded at 02:34 GMT.
The institute said the earthquake had a magnitude of 5.8, while its depth was recorded at 10 kilometers. The epicenter was initially located at 37.70 degrees south latitude and 73.19 degrees west longitude.
According to initial reports, no loss of life or property has been reported as a result of the earthquake.
