Educational reforms accelerate in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, no child will be left out of education: Chief Minister

Peshawar (Pakistan News): A key meeting on reforms in the education sector was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi, where ongoing initiatives and future planning were discussed in detail.

The meeting reviewed proposals to increase literacy rates, establish community schools in remote areas, and expand the double-shift school program. It was also agreed to introduce IT and artificial intelligence courses.

The Chief Minister directed the release of 500 million rupees for the establishment of an Interdisciplinary Research Centre and said that modern scientific and research trends will be promoted in the education system.

He instructed relevant authorities to hold further detailed meetings on all proposals and finalize a comprehensive action plan as soon as possible. A coordination committee was also directed to be formed for this purpose.

Sohail Afridi said that in the past few months, the provincial government has focused particularly on the education and health sectors, and positive results are emerging. According to him, education and health are basic needs of the public, and the government is prioritizing investment in these areas.

He made it clear that the government’s goal is to bring comprehensive reforms in the education system and ensure that no child is deprived of the fundamental right to education.

The meeting also expressed satisfaction over the e-transfer policy, uniform curriculum, monitoring system, teacher training, virtual schooling, and modern educational courses, while directing consideration of a new framework to improve literacy rates.
