Islamabad (Pakistan News) President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have paid rich tribute to poet of the East Allama Muhammad Iqbal.
In his message, President Asif Ali Zardari said that Allama Iqbal’s concept of social justice provides clear guidance for a self-reliant Pakistan. He added that Iqbal’s philosophy serves as a guiding light for the establishment of a just, humane, and strong system.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in his statement, said that he pays tribute to Allama Iqbal on behalf of the entire nation. He described Iqbal as a benefactor of the Muslims of the subcontinent and a great intellectual leader who gave the message of selfhood, action, faith, and intellectual freedom.
He said that Iqbal’s ideas awakened a sense of awareness and independence among oppressed nations, and even today his message holds great significance.
The Prime Minister further said that Iqbal regarded love, brotherhood, and national awakening as the purpose of life, and that in light of his philosophy, unity and knowledge are the guarantee of Pakistan’s bright future.
