Islamabad (Pakistan News) Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, during which the overall regional situation and peace-related matters were discussed.
According to the Foreign Office, both leaders emphasized the need for the swift resolution of all pending issues for the promotion of regional peace and stability and termed continuous communication essential.
Both foreign ministers agreed to further strengthen diplomatic engagement for lasting peace in the region and to maintain ongoing bilateral coordination.
According to the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Abbas Araghchi described repeated violations of the ceasefire as a major obstacle to the diplomatic process and said that future steps would be taken after considering all aspects.
