Iran Says Doors for Talks Still Open on Basis of Dignity and Justice

Iran’s Presidential Office has stated that the doors to negotiations remain open on the basis of justice, dignity, and wisdom.

Presidential spokesperson Mehdi Tabatabaei rejected reports of differences within Iran’s leadership, saying that there is complete unity among the country’s top officials.

Without naming the United States, he said that the opposing side is engaged in political propaganda and should stop “reneging on promises, intimidation, and deception,” while stressing that Iran is still willing to engage in dialogue.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said in his statement that threats, blockades, and violations of agreements hinder meaningful negotiations, but Iran has always welcomed dialogue and international agreements.

On the other hand, US President Donald Trump has expressed hope that a second round of talks with Iran could take place soon, and has directed the military to remain prepared for any possible scenario.

The White House stated that Iran has been given a few days to consider the agreed proposals, while a temporary ceasefire arrangement is also continuing.
