Moscow (Monitoring Desk) Russia has reportedly received a formal invitation to participate at a high level in the upcoming G20 Leaders’ Summit to be held in the United States.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Pankin confirmed the invitation while speaking to journalists. However, he stated that the final decision regarding Russia’s representation at the summit will be made later.
The summit is scheduled to take place on December 14 and 15 in the US city of Miami.
According to US officials, the meeting will focus on key global economic issues, including improvement of the global economy, modernization of the financial system, transparency in debt management, development of digital financial systems, and prevention of financial crimes.
Experts believe that the invitation extended to Russia is an important development in global political and economic affairs, and is being seen as a sign of improving diplomatic engagement between major world powers.
