Lahore (Pakistan Khabar): Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has said that the Punjab government is committed to establishing a peaceful society.
In her message on the International Day of Peaceful Coexistence, she said the purpose of observing this day is to turn the dream of a peaceful, calm, and dignified world into reality.
She added that amid recent global crises, Pakistan has further strengthened its identity as a peace-loving country and has played an important role in promoting peace and prosperity.
According to the Chief Minister, the Punjab government is committed to building a society based on peace and tolerance, and the law and order situation in the province has improved compared to the past.
She said that in Punjab, every citizen can live a dignified life regardless of colour, race, or religion, while efforts are ongoing to promote social and linguistic harmony.
Maryam Nawaz also expressed resolve that practical steps will continue to eliminate extremism and violence, and empowering women is also an important part of building a peaceful society.
