Islamabad (Pakistan Khabar): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that Pakistan remains fully committed to building a peaceful, harmonious, and united society in collaboration with the international community on the occasion of the International Day of Peaceful Coexistence.
He said that the principles of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah—justice, honesty, and peace—remain the foundation of national policy. He added that Pakistan is a multicultural country, and its social diversity is a source of national strength.
The Prime Minister stated that the government is actively working through initiatives such as Paigham-e-Pakistan to eliminate extremism and promote social harmony.
He highlighted government measures for the protection of human rights, including the National Action Plan on Human Rights, the Business and Human Rights Policy, and various awareness programs. He also stressed legal and institutional reforms for the elimination of gender-based violence and the protection of minority rights.
He further urged youth, religious scholars, and civil society to promote tolerance, compassion, and mutual respect in order to build a peaceful and prosperous society.
