Lahore (Pakistan News) On the occasion of the first anniversary of the historic military engagement “Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos,” which took place in May 2025 and is also remembered as “Battle of Haq,” celebrations are being observed across the country as “Victory Day.”
On this occasion, it is being stated that the operation was not merely a military action but an important milestone in restoring national honor and shifting the regional balance of power.
According to the report, in early May 2025, tensions increased along the Line of Control and the Working Boundary from the Indian side, which Pakistan described as provocation. During the same period, India allegedly blamed Pakistan over the Pahalgam incident and took diplomatic and border-related actions.
On the night between 6 and 7 May, references were made to missile attacks on various Pakistani areas, to which Pakistan responded with strong defensive actions. Later, on 9 and 10 May, further exchanges of attacks and counteractions continued, pushing the situation into a decisive phase.
According to the report, Pakistan then launched a counter-operation named “Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos,” in which strong aerial and ground responses were carried out. Military losses and defensive activities on both sides were also mentioned during this period.
In this context, the role of political and military leadership, including Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, was highlighted.
The report also states that after this confrontation, Pakistan’s diplomatic position at the global level strengthened and the country began to be seen as an important regional power.
On the anniversary, events are being held across the country where the public is paying tribute to the armed forces. Military leadership has said in its messages that any aggression against Pakistan will be met with a strong and decisive response.
Various force chiefs also praised the professional capabilities and defense achievements of the armed forces, while on the public level scenes of celebrations and green flags were widely observed.
