US Midterm Elections: Over 50 Million Vote Early

Washington (Monitoring Desk): Early voting figures have been released ahead of the US midterm elections, showing that more than 52 million citizens have already cast their ballots.

The US midterm elections will be held tomorrow, November 3, with contests for all 435 seats in the House of Representatives and 35 seats in the Senate. Voting will also take place in several states to elect governors. The results will determine the balance of power between Republicans and Democrats in Congress and will also influence government policies during the remainder of President Donald Trump’s term.

According to US media outlet NBC, approximately 29 million people cast their votes in person at polling stations during early voting, while more than 23 million exercised their right to vote by mail.

According to the figures, more than 7 million votes have been cast in Texas. In North Carolina, the number of early votes has also surpassed the previous record. More than 1 million registered Democratic voters and approximately 679,000 registered Republican voters have cast their ballots in the state.

According to the report, more than 53.14 million votes had been cast in total by November 1, exceeding the approximately 46 million votes cast before Election Day in the 2022 midterm elections.

US media have attributed the rise in early voting to growing public interest in the electoral process.
