AJK Elections Second Phase Polling to Be Held Tomorrow

Rawalpindi (Pakistan Desk) Polling for the second phase of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly elections will be held tomorrow, August 2, in the Muzaffarabad Division, while voting will also take place for 12 seats reserved for refugees.

The process of providing election materials to polling staff for the second phase has started. At the distribution point established at Government Graduate College on Sixth Road in Rawalpindi, staff members are receiving ballot papers, ballot boxes, and other sensitive election materials.

According to sources, election staff are being provided with ballot papers and official records, after which officials are leaving for their respective polling stations. The transportation of election materials is being carried out under strict police security to prevent any untoward situation.

The district administration and election authorities are busy finalizing polling arrangements, while all necessary arrangements have been completed at polling stations and staff members are ready for deployment.

According to officials, polling will begin at the scheduled time, and after completion of the distribution process, polling staff will assume their responsibilities.

For the refugee seats of Azad Kashmir, polling in Rawalpindi will be held in the Jammu-6, Valley-4, and Valley-5 constituencies. The Valley-4 constituency is limited to Rawalpindi city only, Valley-5 includes areas of Rawalpindi and Islamabad, while the Jammu-6 constituency extends from Rawalpindi Division to Islamabad.
