Mumbai (Showbiz Desk): Casting director Mukesh Chhabra has made an important revelation regarding the casting of Akshaye Khanna, who plays the villain in the Bollywood film Dhurandhar.
According to Mukesh Chhabra, the role had been offered to two or three prominent actors before Akshaye Khanna, but they declined it due to concerns about the film’s large cast and director Aditya Dhar’s return after a long hiatus.
He said that when the role was offered to Akshaye Khanna, he also initially refused, asking why he should play a villain. However, his opinion changed just five minutes after hearing the story, and he agreed to work in the film that same day.
According to Mukesh Chhabra, Akshaye Khanna added his own unique style of acting to the character written by Aditya Dhar. He also praised Ranveer Singh, saying that he provided the other actors with ample opportunity to showcase their abilities in the film.
