Dubai (Monitoring Desk) Emaar Properties has announced a major new master development project in Dubai worth 200 billion dirhams, which the company describes as the most ambitious urban project in its history.
According to reports, this project is being developed to promote an integrated concept of modern urban lifestyle. Its total built-up area will be more than 4.5 million square meters, including luxury residential towers, villas, mansions, commercial offices, retail centers, hotels, and various urban and cultural facilities.
The project is being designed to accommodate around 150,000 residents and is being presented as a fully self-sufficient “city within a city.”
Under the master plan, five different zones will be included, comprising a business center, an urban district, a young families community, a family residential zone, and a luxury villa area. In addition, the project will include educational institutions, healthcare facilities, mosques, parks, retail centers, smart technology, eco-friendly transport, and a possible metro connection.
Emaar founder Mohammed Alabbar said that great cities are built from dreams and that this project represents the company’s largest and most ambitious vision to date. However, the exact location, phased construction, and financial details of the project have not yet been fully disclosed.
