LPG Prices Soar to Rs600 per Kg in Lahore, Twin Cities

Islamabad (Commerce Desk): Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) prices have remained high in various cities across Pakistan, with the per-kilogram rate reaching Rs600 in Lahore, Rawalpindi and Islamabad.

In Karachi, LPG is being sold at Rs530 per kg, while the price in Quetta has also reached Rs530 per kg. In Peshawar, consumers are paying Rs570 per kg.

Meanwhile, Ali Haider, senior vice chairman of the LPG Marketers Association, told Geo News that supplies had resumed not only through arriving ships but also via Iran’s border routes. However, a shortage of transport vehicles is currently affecting distribution.

Ali Haider expressed hope that once the supply system returns to normal, the retail price of LPG in Karachi could fall to Rs480 per kg within the next 48 hours.
