Athletics Federation Reviews Arshad Nadeem’s Performance, Plans to Assess Preparations

Islamabad (Sports Desk) — Pakistan Athletics Federation has taken notice of Olympic gold medalist javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem’s failure to deliver the expected performance at the Commonwealth Games and has decided to contact the government, Inter-Provincial Coordination Division, and Pakistan Sports Board.

According to federation sources, the Pakistan Athletics Federation will soon send a detailed letter to government institutions, providing information about Arshad Nadeem’s preparations, coaching arrangements, and other related matters.

Sources said that Arshad Nadeem achieved historic successes at the previous Commonwealth Games and the Paris Olympics while training under the supervision of the federation. However, during preparations for the current event under the guidance of an inexperienced coach, he was unable to retain his title.

Federation sources claimed that administrative differences with certain individuals and alleged opposition affected national interests, which also impacted performance in the major international event.

The Pakistan Athletics Federation will inform government institutions about the complete situation so that the training, coaching, and administrative arrangements for national athletes can be made more effective in the future.
